31 May 2000

DJ Mixmaster Mike revealed during an interview on Los Angeles radio station KROQ-FM that The Beastie Boys are working on a full length follow-up to their 1998 album Hello Nasty. He did not discuss a title or release date, but said the band plan to tour in 2001—suggesting the LP may be released then as well.
Last June Adam Yauch, a.k.a. MCA, had told reporters the band would be taking a long break from recording and touring. Apparently they’ve rested up.
In other Beastie Boys news, all three members guest on the upcoming De La Soul album Art Of Artificial Intelligence, due August. | NME story | | The Beastie Boys | | discography | | sample | | top of page |
