On its third and final day, the first annual Detroit Electronic Music Festival at Hart Plaza features twelve more hours of cutting edge electronica and techno on four stages starting at noon EDT (5 pm BST). Groovetech will Webcast most performances live.
The entirely free event today offers performances by A Guy Called Gerald, Bone, Sean Deason, Dego, Detroit Grand Pubahs, Direct Beat Assassins, Lauren Flax, Richie Hawtin, Mike Huckaby, Derrick May, Oscar McMillan, Derek Plaslaiko, Rolando, Ronin, RX-7 The Electro Elite, Kevin Saunderson, Shake, Theorem, Urban Tribe, Vitreous Flux, and Clark Warner.
Introducing the event, DEMF artistic director and Planet E Records CEO Carl Craig said “We want to spotlight Detroit artists that are known world-wide and let everyone know that this city has been a breeding ground for this music over the last 10 years. But we also want to create a festival line-up that showcases the international electronic scene.”
Up to a million concertgoers were expected. All events at all four stages are free, paid for with corporate sponsorships and concession sales. | DEMF | | Webcast | | top of page |
