Joi announce performance dates, new album 24 May 2000 Joi are now recording the final bits for the not yet titled follow-up to their 1999 debut One And One Is One, for release later this year on Real World records. Joi formed as a duo of Bengali brothers Haroon and Farook Shamsher nearly ten years ago in their adopted home of Londons east end. Haroon died suddently this past July. In tribute to Haroon, Astralwerks posted a 40 minute mix set by Joi Soundsystem in RealAudionot available elsewhererecorded just before he passed. Here are the upcoming Joi/Joi Sound System dates. Performances are live unless noted as Joi Sound System. In addition to these, you can catch DJ sets from Farook every third Saturday at The Dogstar in Brixton.
