Tailgunner announce debut album, tour
23 May 2000

Mark Coyle, former producer for Oasis and one-time engineer for Inspiral Carpets, recently updated nme.com on the status of his new band Tailgunner. They recorded an album for release on Creation records some time ago—with Oasis songwriter/guitarist Noel Gallagher playing drums on six songs—but never released it following Sony’s takeover of the label. Coyle told nme.com “We’ve been in limbo for a few months trying to get clear of Sony. We’re going to go with [indie imprint] No Label....”
Gallagher, who has at least temporarily quit Oasis (see the Oasis story on Rockbites today), will not be playing with Tailgunner on their upcoming eight date Scottish tour in August or on their English tour in September.
The self-titled debut Tailgunner album is due in September in the UK on No Label. | NME story | | Tailgunner (unofficial) | | top of page |
