Eels cancel most North American dates
22 May 2000

A spokesperson says that American pop band Eels have cancelled all but four dates on their recently announced North American tour. They’ll still play New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and will appear on CBS television’s Late Night With David Letterman on 22 June.
The band provided no reasons for the change in plans, but CDnow notes that their most recent album, Daisies Of The Galaxy, has sold fewer than 25,000 copies since its release in March.
Rockbites finds the album equally catchy and disturbing, and expects that it will eventually be recognized as important by the mass media—inevitably driving sales.
