Ladyfest 2000 passes on sale Monday

The first annual Ladyfest celebration of women’s music, art, and politics takes place 1-6 August in Olympia Washington. Organizers have just announced they’ll start selling full and partial passes to the event on Monday 22 May by mail and online.
    Full passes are US$55 and provide admission to all events on a space available basis. You must send a passport-sized photo whether ordering by mail or online.
    Partial passes ($30) include admission to seven events including up to three night time events at the main venue, the Capitol Theatre. Individual events vary in cost, from free up to $8.
    Ladyfest will offer a limited number of full passes in exchange for volunteer work, with details soon on their Web site.
    Bands just added for Ladyfest include Braille Stars, Neko Case, Dos, Holly Go Lightly, Original Sinners, Quixotic, Traci & the Plastics, Trailer Bride, and Vandemonium. They join a lineup that includes Aislers Set, Bangs, Amy Blaschke, The Bobbyteens, Bratmobile, The Butchies, Cat Power, Sarah Dougher, Emily’s Sassy Lime, Misty Fine, Frenchie And The German Girls, Glass Candy And The Shattered Theatre, The Gossip, The Haggard, Kanako, Lois, Carolyn Mark, The Need, Rebecca Pearcy, The Rondelles, Shotgun Won, Sleater-Kinney, Slumber Party, Jean Smith, Tennessee Twin, Mary Timony, Two Ton Boa, Allison Williams, and Wynne. | Ladyfest | | top of page |
