New Witness Rights Alert features Michael Stipe 12 May 2000
Every two weeks Winess and Oddcast post new sound and video clips focusing on a single issue, with introduction and explanation by film and music celebrities including Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel, Angélique Kidjo, and Tim Robbins. A forthcoming video will be narrated by avant-gardist Laurie Anderson. Other stories now online expose the constitutionally ratified murder of civilians by the military in India, torture and poisoning of students by state police under white rule in South Africa, international forced prostitution rings managed by the Russian mafia, and children in active military duty in Uganda.
