Mr. Laurence releases second LP — Tugboat Tow
9 March 2000
Ann Arbor’s kiddie rock cosmonaut Mr. Laurence (Laurence Bond Miller) released his second LP last week, Tugboat Tow. It’s in very limited distribution this month but should be widely available soon.
Tracks on the album are Tugboat Tow, Banging All The Pots & Pans, Good Manners, I Love You So Completely, The Itsy Bitsy Spider, Go Jump In A Lake, Gamby Goo & The Go-Go Pirates, My Time Flies, We’re The Little Dweazshers, Pure Gibberish, Tugboat Tow (version), Yuck Muck & Crud Mudd, 1 Through 10 Then Back Again, Mary Goes Round, Choe Chee’s Reoccurring Dream (2nd occurrence), Always & Forever, and Sea Of Daisies (bonus track).
Speaking exclusively with Rockbites, Miller said that he is being sued by avant-garde rocker Larynx Zillion, who claims that “Mr. Laurence took his song Vag The Bond And The Bola Pirates and changed the name and lyrics to Gamby Goo & The Go-Go Pirates.” Given that Zillion is a former persona, things could get confusing.
Mr. Laurence will record a live radio performance on Ann Arbor’s WCBN-FM this summer for release later this year. See our Mr. Laurence interview for CD ordering info. | interview | | Mr. Laurence on mp3.com | | top of page |
