Roskilde festival announces additional artists
7 March 2000
The Roskilde Festival, northern Europe’s premier summer musical event, is on track for 29 June - 2 July. Organizers have announced thirteen additional bands: Breakbeat Era (UK), Bush (UK), Juan de Marcos’ Afro-Cuban All Stars (Cuba), Dub Tractor (Denmark), Everything But The Girl (UK), Filter (US), Live (US), Willie Nelson (US), Oasis (UK), Roni Size & Reprazent (UK), Sigur Ros (Iceland), Sergent Garcia (France), and Sidestepper (UK, Columbia).
    Previously announced artists are Calexico (US), Chumbawamba (UK), The Cure (UK), Femi Kuti (Nigeria), The Flaming Lips (US), Gomez (UK), Groove Armada (UK), Iron Maiden (UK), Magga Stina (Iceland), Pearl Jam (US), Rico (UK), Silo (Denmark), and Smog (US).
    The music/political/benefit festival routinely sells out its 70,000 tickets. They’re on sale now worldwide, with details available on the festival Web site. | Roskilde Festival | | top of page |
