Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci winning US fans on tour

Welsh psychedelic band Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci have been touring the US supporting critically acclaimed Modesto, California five piece Grandaddy. NME reports that despite a Seattle audience’s difficulty with Euros Childs’ Welsh accent, they were “rapt” by the end of the hour long Gorky’s set.
Meanwhile, some critics are already naming Grandaddy’s forthcoming third LP The Sophtware Slump as the best album of 2000. It’s due in the UK on 17 April on V2 Records, with no US release date set.
