Giant Sand annouce North American tour dates 23 March 2000 Howe Gelb’s Tucson based space/country folkers Giant Sand have announced another North American tour starting 8 April at Solar Culture in their home town. The tour continues for fourteen more (mostly west coast) dates in the US and Canada, wrapping up on the 28th at the Knitting Factory in New York city.     Giant Sand then take off to Europe for dates in Ireland, England, France, and Spain. Gelb’s other band, Calexico, plays this summer’s Roskilde festival in Denmark.     Giant Sand are supporting their new release Chore Of Enchantment, their first album in three years.     And if you’re lucky enough to be in London on 31 March you can catch Gelb in a solo performance along with Vic Chesnutt at Union Chapel. | tour dates | | Giant Sand | | discography | | sample | | top of page |
