The Melvins start major North American tour next week

Aberdeen, Washington slo-core trio The Melvins (legend has it their front man Buzz Osborne taught Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain how to play guitar) begin a major US tour starting 29 March at the Sanctuary in Las Vegas. Their trek runs through 29 May with a final show at the Guvernment in Toronto.
The Melvins released The Crybaby last month, featuring former teen pinup Leif Garret singing the band’s cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit. The album concludes a trilogy: The Bootlicker and The Maggot both came out last year. Garret’s band Godspeed open a week of early dates on the tour.
