EMusic.com offers free MP3 albums in software promo 15 March 2000 Music download site Emusic.com is offering visitors a free electronic album in the less than CD quality MP3 (MPEG I, layer 3) music file format in exchange for providing personal information to EMusic and to partner MusicMatch. The deal involves downloading free MusicMatch Jukebox 5.0 player software, which works only on the Microsoft Windows platform. The choice of free albums includes Bush - Sixteen Stone, Elvis Costello - The Very Best of Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Willie Dixon - Working On The Blues, Vol. 1, Loop Guru - Duniya, Sounds Of Blackness - Reconciliation, They Might Be Giants - Severe Tire Damage, The Violent Femmes - Viva Wisconsin, and Tom Waits - Mule Variations.
