Fu Manchu prepare for European summer festivals

LA area retro metal quartet Fu Manchu, who released their sixth album early this year, start a tour of European summer festivals on 23 June at Glastonbury in Somerset, England. They’re confirmed for six more festivals in England, Germany, and France through 8 July.
The band spoke with SonicNet’s Chris Nelson about their current LP King Of The Road. Front man Scott Hill said “It’s a straight-ahead rock record—a lot of car references, vans, motorcycles, skateboarding.” Drummer Brand Bjork, once in Kyuss (which metamorphosed into Queens Of The Stone Age), talked about meeting fans on their recent tour opening for Sevendust: “I get some vibes from kids that they’re ashamed they were into Korn at one time and they want to get into us. That’s cool. It doesn’t matter, you can be into whatever you want to be into.” | SonicNet story | | tour dates | | Fu Manchu | | discography | | sample | | CD | | top of page |
