Radiohead add UK tent tour to summer dates
9 June 2000

Oxford’s art rock megastars Radiohead have finally announced a UK leg for their upcoming spring-into-autumn tour. They’ll play ten dates at four locations in Wales, England, and Scotland, each under a 10,000 capacity high tech Kayam tent which they’re carrying with them.
The band told press the tent strategy provides them greater control, will help ensure consistent and high quality sound, and allows them independence from corporate sponsorship. (An inverse approach to that taken by US bands Cypress Hill and Limp Bizkit, who next month stage a free tour sponsored in full by Napster, Inc.)
In April Radiohead finished recording their long awaited followup to their breakthrough album OK Computer. They haven’t announced a title or release date.
Here are the just announced Radiohead UK dates

September
1-2 - Tredegar House, Newport, Wales
23-25 - Victoria Park, London, England
28-29 - Glasgow Green, Glasgow, Scotland

October
1-3 - Victoria Park, Warrington, England
