San Francisco genre warriors Live Human release their second album Elephish Jellyphant on 26 June in the UK and on 11 July in the US. It’s their first album on Matador, who re-released their debut Monostereosis early this year for the US with a different track ordering as well as a bonus track. The original version of Monostereosis is available from London’s Fat Cat Records, along with various versions of the band’s singles Improvisessions and OrangeBushMonkeyFlower
The experimental/hip-hop trio of Albert Mathias (drums), Andrew Kushin (bass), and Carlos Aguiler a.k.a. DJ Quest play a pair of dates this month in northern California: 15 June in San Francisco at the Mission Creek Festival and the 16th at The Catalyst Club in Santa Cruz.
On 14 July, to celebrate the release of Elefish Jellyphant, they perform in-store at Haight-Ashbury’s Amoeba Records in San Francisco starting at 7 pm. | Live Human | | samples on Fat Cat Records | | bio | | discography | | sample from Monostereosis | | CD | | top of page |
