The Deftones get serious about marketing

Sacramento, California alt metal quartet The Deftones, on the eve of a major US tour, have announced that their music, videos, and logos appear in an upcoming MTV Sports/THQ video game titled Skateboarding Featuring Andy MacDonald. Other bands coming down on the side of licensing of art for profit and appearing in the game include Cypress Hill, Flashpoint, Goldfinger, Pennywise, The Pilfers, Snapcase, and System Of A Down.
The Deftones new album White Pony—the CD is available in limited edition black and red versions in addition to the standard silver color—comes out 20 June in the US and the day before in the UK.
