Belle & Sebastian 'visit' Eastenders set
6 June 2000

After performing their new single Legal Man for the BBC’s Top Of The Pops last week, Scottish retropop band Belle & Sebastian had a few drinks at the BBC bar. Then, according to NME, they went off exploring to find the set for the long running BBC serial Eastenders, having heard it was nearby the TOTP studios.
The band apparently found the set unlocked and wandered in, only to be apprehended by a security guard near the Queen Vic pub. The guard called police, but staff from TOTP intervened in time to save their guests from a trip to the station.
B&S released their new album Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like A Peasant this week in the UK and the US. | NME story | | discography | | sample | | top of page |
