Departure Lounge announce US tour dates 5 June 2000
UK singer/songwriter Tim Keegan and his band Departure Lounge—having been mysteriously snubbed last month by Swedish power popsters The Wannadies with the result being a cancelled UK tour—have just announced a month of summer dates for the US. Their magnificent US debut Out Of There, released last month on Flydaddy, comprises the UK-only Out Of There EP plus extra tracks remixed by former Cocteau Twin Simon Raymonde and by Kid Loco Departure Lounge open tonight in London for the UK debut of another former Cocteau Twin’s new band, Robin Guthrie’s Violet Indiana—see the 3 June Rockbites story for details.
