Source Awards 2000 nominees announced 29 June 2000 Today Source Awards announced their nominees for the second annual hip-hop honors show, Source Awards 2000. Ceremonies take place 22 August at the Pasadena Civic Center near Los Angeles, with television replay on US cable channel UPN on 29 August. Rappers Dr. Dre and Ice Cube (both in their early 30s) will receive Lifetime Achievement awards. Grand Wizard Theodore will be honored with the Pioneer Award. Editors of The Source magazine choose the nominees.
