Oakland, California electronic/experimental duo Blectum From Blechdom (the artists go by the names Blevin Blectum a.k.a. D84 and Kevin Blechdom a.k.a. Adult Rodeo) released their first full length this week on Berkeley’s Deluxe Records, titled The Messy Jessy Fiesta. The set follows their March 2000 debut 12", Snauses And Mallards.
Talking about Blectum From Blechdom certainly qualifies as dancing about architechture. Deluxe describes the new album as “A hyper mish-mash of sounds where hissy field recordings and vocal cut-up collage (a la Stock, Hausen & Walkman, V/VM, or Lucky Kitchen) segue into frenetic techno, electro breakbeats, & acid squelches (a la early Aphex Twin).”
The new album is available direct from Deluxe and from Midheaven Mailorder. Deluxe and Orthlong Musork have samples available from their respective releases. | B From B on Deluxe | | B From B on Orthlong Musork | | B From B on Midheaven | | top of page |
