The Beastie Boys team with RATM for North America

New York rock/hip-hop trio The Beastie Boys will tour the US and Canada with LA’s Rage Against The Machine starting 2 August at Molson Park near Toronto. The bands have confirmed only a handfull of an expected six weeks of dates on the so-called Rhyme & Reason 2000 tour.
The two politicized acts performed on the same stage for last year’s Tibetan Freedom Concert and for a benefit in support of author, activist, and death row inmate Mumia Abu-Jamal in January 1999.
Beastie Boys DJ Mixmaster Mike revealed in a radio interview last month that the band are working on a follow-up to 1998’s Hello Nasty, which may be released early next year. | Billboard story | | tour dates | | Abu-Jamal defense site | | discography | | sample | | top of page |
