19 June 2000

Icelandic vocalist/composer/actress Björk (Björk Gudmundsdóttir) will chat live with fans on the ArtistDirect Web site this Thursday 22 June starting at 4 pm EDT (9 pm BST). These times are correct according to Björk’s official site, superceding those listed on ArtistDirect. You can submit questions in advance using a form on the ArtistDirect chat page.
In May the singer won the Best Actress award at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival for her role as Selma in the Danish film Dancer In the Dark. She told reporters “I don’t want to be an actress... When I said yes I knew that it would be not only my first role but also my last one, and I am very happy that this experience was the one.”
Björk’s next studio album, which she’s working on now in Spain, will follow a live album set for release sometime this year. In March, Atari Teenage Riot main man Alec Empire told NME that he’s working on a collaborative EP with Björk for release this year as well. | NME story | | Björk | | Web chat | | discography | | sample | | top of page |
