Wheat play US dates, Glastonbury Festival 15 June 2000 On the 24th they head back to Europe (where they recently toured) for some shows including the Glastonbury festival, then swing round for a performance at New York citys Knitting Factory on 7 July with Jack Dragonetti a.k.a. Jack Drag. The bands wide ranging approach has prompted various members of the press to liken them to a spectrum of interesting artists including My Bloody Valentine, Belle & Sebastian, Sparklehorse, and The Jesus & Mary Chain. Dave Fridmann (Mogwai, Mercury Rev, Elf Power, The Flaming Lips) produced their most recent album, 1999s Hope And Adams.
