Sad Rockets sign to Matador, ready third LP
28 July 2000
Sad Rockets, aka twenty-something sound painter/acoustronica artist Andrew Pekler, has just signed to Matador Records to release his third album. Titled Blue Hour it follows his 1998 and 1999 LPs on Morbid & Source records, Plays and Once Upon A Time Called Now.
Shortly before the album Matador will release for Europe only a 12" EP including the new tracks Waking (From A Pleasant Dream Into A Nasty Hangover) and Soul Recreation.
Born in Uzbekistan and raised in California, Pekler now calls Heidleberg, Germany home. Beyond his Sad Rockets solo work, Pekler plays in post-post electronica band Begheim 34 and is vocalist for Mucus 2. | bio | | discography | | sample from Plays | | top of page |
