Ladyfest 2000 selling out + new Web chats

The first annual Ladyfest celebration of women’s music, art, and politics takes place 1-6 August at The Capitol Theatre and other venues in Olympia Washington. Organizers describe it as “...a non-profit, community based event designed by and for women to showcase, celebrate, and encourage the artistic, organizational, and political work and talents of women.” Men are welcome to attend and help out.
    Partial passes to the six day event are now sold out, but full passes at US$55 are still available online and by mail. Organizers have just provided some hints and tips for picking up your pass, which we’ve reproduced here—click 'pass info' below.
    On Thursday (27 July) Bratmobile, one of the 44 artists now confirmed for the festival, hold a Web chat on gurl.com starting 8 pm EDT (1 am BST on Friday). Then next Wednesday (2 August) former Helium vocalist, now solo artist Mary Timony holds a Web chat starting 6 pm EDT (11 pm BST).
