Following a bicycling mishap in New York city over the weekend in which Mike D (Michael Diamond) of archetypal rock rappers The Beastie Boys dislocated a shoulder, the band have announced that The Rhyme And Reason tour is now postponed until further notice. The tour was to have started a week from today at Molson Park near Toronto and run for five weeks with Rage Against The Machine, At The Drive In, Green Day, and Busta Rhymes appearing on various dates.
Meanwhile, a new Beastie Boys double DVD set, a comprehensive video anthology from Criterion, is due 10 October worldwide. The release takes advantage of the DVD format in providing multiple remixes of every song, multiple video angles, and 5.1 surround as well as stereo sound. | NME story | | The Beastie Boys | | DVD info | | discography | | sample | | top of page |
