The Powerpuff Girls album!

The Powerpuff Girls animated children’s TV series has inspired an album of all new tracks from an eclectic set of artists including The Apples In Stereo, Bis, Frank Black, Corenilus, Devo, Shonen Knife, and others. Between each track the disc includes dialog from the series, which together with the songs tells an adventure story in which the three kindergarten heroes save the world.
Titled Heroes & Villians, the disc hits US stores next Tuesday. Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh and Bob Casale produced.
Rhino is also hosting a Powerpuff Girls contest to win an original animation cell from the series, with secondary prizes including a single. Here’s the track listing
