U2 will not, after all, play free Dublin concert 7 January 2000 Contrary to a BBC report on 29 December stating that Irish rockers U2 will play a free concert in Dublin this March, manager Paul McGuinness has told an Irish paper that the band will do no such thing. The remainder of the report, which stated that the band along with McGuinness will receive the extremely prestigious Honorary Freedom of the City of Dublin (typically reserved for the likes of national presidents), is apparently true. | MTV story | | discography | | sample | | top of page | |
