Moby may compose theme for Cecil B. Demented 6 January 2000 New York techno artist Moby (Richard Melville Hall) has told allstar News that he’ll likely be writing the opening theme to twisted director John Waters’ forthcoming feature film Cecil B. Demented. The film stars Stephen Dorff as Cecil, a wacked-out director who kidnaps an actress and forces her to perform in his movie. Asked if he wants to act, Moby told allstar “You know, I always liked Black Flag, but Henry Rollins acting... I think he should stick to writing. I remember seeing him in the Lost Highway movie, and, oofff... There are so many out-of-work actors in the world, I would feel guilty taking a role away from some starving actor in California that would kill to have a little spot, but instead they give it to a musician who doesn’t need the money or the exposure.” | CDnow allstar story | | discography | | sample | | top of page | |
