Tibet House benefit performers announced
4 January 2000
The eighth annual Tibet House benefit concert takes place 5 February 2000 at Carnegie Hall in New York. The typically eclectic performance roster include poet/rocker Patti Smith, Phish front man Trey Anastasio, singer/songwriter Rufus Wainwright, composer Philip Glass, and vocalists Angelique Kidjo and Virginia Rodriques.
Tibet House works to preserve Tibet’s ethnic and cultural heritage in the midst of two generations of communist Chinese occupation and oppression. Concert tickets are available now from the venue’s box office at 212-247-7800. | SonicNet archive | | top of page |
