The Smashing Pumpkins mount clandestine US tour
31 January 2000
Front man Billy Corgan of Chicago’s Smashing Pumpkins revealed on last night’s episode of Politically Incorrect (ABC-TV in the US) that his band heads off today on a US club and in-store tour, with all dates unannounced until they are about to happen. They’ll be in Kansas today, and will continue “up until the middle of March” according to Corgan.
The Smashing Pumpkins will perform with new bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur (ex-Hole) and with returned drummer Jimmy Chamberlin. They release their sixth LP Machina/The Machines Of God at the end of February—it is already available for advance ordering. | MTV story | | discography | | sample from Adore | | CD | | top of page |
