Brit Awards nominees announced—public can vote 31 January 2000 The UK’s annual Brit Awards take place 3 March this year at Earls Court in London. The public can vote in four categories on the Brits Web site—Best British Video, Best British Newcomer, Best British Single, and Best Pop Act—while the other 10 categories will be decided by a select voting board. Nominees for Best British Newcomer are The Beta Band, Charlotte Church, Death In Vegas, Fierce, Gay Dad, Glamma Kid, Groove Armada, Honeyz, Jamelia, Kele Le Roc, Ann Lee, Martine McCutcheon, Phats & Small, Adam Rickitt, S Club 7, Shanks & Bigfoot, Spacedust, UNKLE, Wamdue Project, and Wiseguys.
