Alec Empire plotting collaborations with Reznor, De La Rocha 3 January 2000 Atari Teenage Riot front man Alec Empire, king of political technoise, spoke with allstar News about possible collaborations with Nine Inch Nails Trent Reznor and with Rage Against The Machines Zack De La Rocha. ATR opened for NIN during their European tour this fall. Empire on Reznor: We planned a lot of stuff. He said we should make a record in New Orleans at [his] studio basically after the Australian tour. I think it would be a good idea... When I first met him, he goes, 'OK, Alec. I dont want to sound like Im kissing your ass, but I think youre a genius and I want to get inside your head and understand how you do this stuff.' That was really funny I thought, the way he introduced himself. On De La Rocha: I want to do stuff with Zack. We dont know exactly when yet but sometime in the first half of the year. | CDnow allstar story | | discography | | sample | | top of page | |
