The Go-Betweens working on reunion album
25 January 2000
Australian art pop band The Go-Betweens, who disbanded in 1989, are apparently re-formed and working on a comeback album. An unofficial Go-Betweens site reported in October that leaders Robert Forster and Grant McLennan were in Brisbane making demos for winter 2000 recording sessions. Independently this week, an allstar News story mentioned that Sleater-Kinney’s Janet Weiss will record drum tracks next month for a new Go-Betweens album
Forster and McLennan, pursuing solo careers, have stayed in touch and played together several times in the past decade, most recently on a six date European tour in 1997. | Go-Betweens site | | discography | | sample from Bellavista Terrace (best of) | | top of page |
