NME announces nominees for 2000 Premier Awards 21 January 2000 UK music mag the New Musical Express has announced the nominees for this year’s NME Premier Awards. The ceremonies take place 1 February at the London EC4 Mermaid Theatre. Nominees for most of the 19 categories were selected through a reader poll, while two were selected by Radio 1 listeners and two by the editors of NME. Nominees for Artist Of The Year are Death In Vegas, Eminem, Mogwai, Shack, and Travis, while nominees for Brightest Hope are Coldplay, The Doves, Sigur Rós, Slipknot, and Terris. | NME story | | top of page | |
