Moby to cover Sir Elton John at MusiCares benefit dinner 21 January 2000 New York techno artist Moby (Richard Melville Hall) will perform at the annual MusiCares Person Of The Year dinner on 21 February, part of the week long festivities surrounding the 42nd annual Grammy Awards. MusiCares is a US charitable organization that provides financial assistance and resources to musicians in need. This year’s MusiCares person of the year is Sir Elton John, honored for his work with the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Artists at the dinner will perform songs of his.
