Wim Wenders’ Million Dollar Hotel’s eclectic soundtrack 14 January 2000 NME reports that Wim Wenders’ new film The Million Dollar Hotel, which debuts 9 February at the Berlin Film Festival, features an eclectic and unusually interesting soundtrack. A cover version of Lou Reed’s Satellite Of Love features vocals by star Milla Jovovich (best known for her portrayal of an alien in The Fifth Element). Other songs include a Spanish rendition of The Sex Pistols’s Anarchy In The UK, Bono’s collaboration with author Salman Rushdie The Ground Beneath Her Feet, and two new songs by U2. The soundtrack to The Million Dollar Hotel, which also stars Mel Gibson, is due this April in the UK on Universal/Island records. | NME story | | top of page | |
