Vote now for song for Oasis to cover 12 January 2000 Oasis’ Noel Gallagher and newly recruited guitarist Gem Archer will play a three song acoustic set, taken from their forthcoming album Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants, live 17 January on Steve Lamacq’s BBC Radio 1 Evening Session show. On that show they will learn the results of an open poll for which song they should record as a cover version. They get three days to learn to play it before recording on the 20th at the BBC’s Maida Vale studios. You can vote through the end of this week—see our link. Lamacq will broadcast the cover song at a later date. Popular entries so far include Another Girl, Another Planet by The Only Ones, Waterfall by The Stone Roses, and Kings Of The Wild Frontier by Adam Ant.
