The Modernist to release first US album 12 January 2000 German techno artist Jorg Burger, sometimes known as The Modernist, releases his new album Explosion this April in the US. The release on Matador, his first LP Stateside, features the previously available singles Mrs. New Deal and Architainment Part 1, along with tracks that won’t appear on the European version. Burger’s 1997 collaboration with Mike Ink, titled Las Vegas, made the recommended albums list for the New York arts magazine The Village Voice. His work has been hard to find in the US, although he has released a substantial library of music under the names B. Movement, Bionaut, Burger Industries, and The Modernist on Germany’s Harvest label. | discography | | top of page | |
