Disinfo.Con 2000 to host eclectic symposium 8 February 2000 Disinfo.Con 2000 is the first gathering in what may be an annual series, a celebration of counter culture modeled on 1978s Nova Convention honoring US author William S. Burroughs. It takes place 19 February at New York citys Hammerstein Ballroom. Musical artists speaking at Disinfo.Con 2000, either in person or by satellite, include DJs Adam Peters (keyboardist for Echo & The Bunnymen) and Chris Brick of Family Of God, Genesis P-Orridge of Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV (he coined the term Industrial Music 25 years ago), and Marilyn Manson. Tickets for the one day event are US$100 (£63) and are available from the convention site. | MTV story | | Disinfo.Con 2000 site | | Nova Convention article | | top of page | |
