Cheating death, Muse to open for Foo Fighters, Chilis
7 February 2000
Exeter, England’s Muse, a young drama rock trio that reminds everyone of Radiohead (when they’re not reminding them of Queen), has snagged the opening slot for the first half of the upcoming Red Hot Chili Peppers/Foo Fighters tour of the US.
Last week, UK music mag NME’s readers voted them Best New Artist—but truth be told the 21 year olds have been playing music together since they were 13. After the awards, their plane caught fire on the runway at London City Airport, but no one was injured. They were on their way back to Germany to continue a European tour supporting Bush. | MTV story | | bio | | discography | | sample | | top of page |
