Babybird readies new album for spring
4 February 2000
Babybird, a.k.a. British space pop explorateur Stephen Jones, releases his eighth LP Bugged this May in the UK on The Echo Label. Bugged follows his 1998 album There’s Something Going On. On 6 March fans will get a taste with the new single The F-Word.
Jones told NME “It’s a song about young kids drinking cider, swinging higher and higher on the swings... listening to a deafening radio and screaming 'fuck' over a bleeped out radio friendly song called the F-Word. It’s about looking back fondly over life as a kid—wanting to be young all over again.” | NME story | | Babybird site | | bio | | discography | | sample from Greatest Hits Box Set | | top of page |
