The Phantom Surfers to release spoof party album 29 February 2000 San Francisco’s masked Phantom Surfers release XXX Party on 28 March in the US. Keeping to the band’s shtick of mixing surf music with comedy, it is a concept LP that spoofs ’60s party albums by imbuing neo/retro surf tunes with sexual innuendo. XXX Party follows the band’s 1998 release Skaterhater.
