Milk Cult release far ranging new album 28 February 2000 Enigmatic experimental trio Milk Cult release their first LP in four years today, titled Project M-13. Midheaven is now selling the CD; it reaches general US distribution on 7 March. In early 1997 Milk Cult members Bumble Bee, DJ Conko, and CC Nova worked in Marseilles, France under an arts grant recording more than two dozen sets of musicians including Algerian, Corsican, and French folk artists; Buddhist chanters; an African orchestra; a variety of noise, jazz, rock, techno, spoken word, and hip-hop artists; and a conch player, among others. Each group played to backing tracks provided by Milk Cult, resulting in more than 100 hours of tape. Over the past two years the band have been mixing and augmenting those tapes. Milk Cult are expected to tour sporadically this year. Theyve recently launched a Web site, which is still under construction. | Milk Cult page on Midheaven | | Milk Cult | | discography | | CD | | top of page | |
