Billy Bragg, Alan McGee, Malcom McClaren at Oxford 24 February 2000 Next Tuesday political folk rocker Billy Bragg speaks at the Old Library at the Oxford Union, Oxford University. Hell be discussing his career as well as his thoughts on 'Englishness.' The fun starts 8:30 pm GMT. On Wednesday the Union hosts Creation Records founder Alan McGee and Sex Pistols impresario turned London mayoral candidate Malcom McClaren in the Debating Chamber, starting 8:30 pm GMT. The event is a question/answer session for Oxford students, as well as a launch of sorts for McClarens campaign. NME news editor Jody Thompson will chair the proceedings, and NME will Webcast the event liveconnection details forthcoming.
