Billy Bragg, Alan McGee, Malcom McClaren at Oxford
24 February 2000
Next Tuesday political folk rocker Billy Bragg speaks at the Old Library at the Oxford Union, Oxford University. He’ll be discussing his career as well as his thoughts on 'Englishness.' The fun starts 8:30 pm GMT.
On Wednesday the Union hosts Creation Records founder Alan McGee and Sex Pistols impresario turned London mayoral candidate Malcom McClaren in the Debating Chamber, starting 8:30 pm GMT. The event is a question/answer session for Oxford students, as well as a launch of sorts for McClaren’s campaign. NME news editor Jody Thompson will chair the proceedings, and NME will Webcast the event live—connection details forthcoming.
You can post questions now to McGee and McClaren for a post-event Webchat. | NME story | | post questions | | Oxford Union | | discography | | sample | | top of page |
