Music at New York Underground Film Festival 22 February 2000 The 2000 edition of the New York Underground Film Festival runs 8-12 March in various venues in Manhattan. This years schedule is packed with music, thanks to a collaboration between the NYUFF and online music retailer Insound. Many of the performances are live accompaniments to film screenings. 8th at CBGBs The Martinets, Zyclon Beatles (Nick Zedds band), The Rapture, The Lapse, New Wet Kojak (w/ members of Girls Against Boys) 8th at 313 Gallery The Elegant Two (guitarist Chris Maxwell and drummer/turntablist Phil Hernandez), Electro Fetus (avant jazz quartet), Anti Pop Consortium (new LP Tragic Epilogue out now), DJ Logic, DJ Carol C., and A.K. Atoms. 9th at 313 Gallery The Directors (w/member from Boss Hog), White Hassle (w/members of Railroad Jerk), Duce Gimlet, and Lo Hi. 9th at Threadwaxing Space Calvin Johnson (member of Dub Narcotic Sound System) acoustic set. 10th at 313 Gallery Alan Licht 11th at CBGBs Snail House, Very Secretary (w/ former member of Braid), Rainer Maria, and Low Down Dirty D.A.W.G.S. 11th at 313 Gallery Featuring 12th at CBGBs The Mercury Program, The Explosion<, Turing Machine, and Aspera Ad Astra 12th at 313 Gallery Binary Systems (Roger Millers band), Tiffany Anders. | NYUFF | | Insound | | top of page | |
