Lois And Brendan set for collaborative debut 21 February 2000 Lois And Brendan, consisting of front woman Lois Maffeo (solo artist and ex Courtney Love—the band, not the person) and longtime associate Brendan Canty (guitarist for Deadline, Fugazi, Happy Go Licky, One Last Wish, Rites Of Spring), release their debut collaborative album The Union Themes on 14 March in the US. As a new father, Canty will not be on board when Lois hits the road on 10 March in Portland. She’s touring North America with a full band through late April, and will play the first Ladyfest this August in Olympia, Washington.
