Brussels 2000 to feature Distorted Media performances 18 February 2000 The Brussels 2000 festival of European culture runs 25-26 February in and around the Belgian capital at more than 20 venues. It features on Saturday the 26th a series of live music performances, some making use of the Distorted Media Projects sound database. The Distorted Media Machine is an internet sound database where people can download a file, do whatever they want with it and then upload it again. Performers on Saturday include Noel Akchoté (French 'anti-guitarist'), Tony Conrad (pioneer minimalist/filmmaker), People Like Us (UK dadaist noise band), Don Joyce (Negativland, Over The Edge), Köhn (Belgian techno), Erik M (French DJ), Martin Tetreault (Canadian DJ), and Microstoria (members of Mouse On Mars and Oval). | Distorted Media info | | top of page | |
