Day One debut hits US, band launch headlining tour 14 February 2000 Ordinary Man, the debut LP from low key Bristol electropop duo Day One, hits US stores 29 Februaryalthough a Japanese import including a bonus track is already available Stateside. Day One played their first show just last June in London. In October they toured England and Scotland opening for Gomez, and in November played four dates in France as part of Les Inrockuptibles festival. Day Ones Donni Hardwidge (arranger and multi-intrumentalist) and Phelim Byrne (on vocals) arrive with some impressive credentials. Massive Attack 3-D (Roberto Del Naja) signed them to Melankolic, and Beastie Boys producer/engineer Mario C. manned the controls for their LP. Astralwerks has posted several full length samples as well as the videos to In Your Life and Im Doing Fine. Day One launch their second UK tour on 22 February at King Tuts in Glasgow, with a final date in Dublin.
